How do I know?
Hi, i've been suffering from anorexia and bullimia for four years.I'm 18 this year and the only thing I look forward to in life is having my own children.I am still getting my period, just not very regular. Is there any chance I wont be able to fall pregnant one day and if I do will the child be normal? Please, I'm very concerned.
Dear worried.
In cases of severe anorexia and bullimia a critical issue is the body fat ratio. Where this is significantly reduced, it is often difficult for conception to occur. However, a hormone profile might be necessary in this instance to assess any hormone imbalance, if any, which mighty be present.
