irregular periods
Dear Doc

I went off the pill on 6 Sep 2005 to try for a baby.I was on ovral 28 for 7 years.
Here are my menstruation dates as follows:
3 Sep 2005 (on the pill)
6 Oct 2005
2 Nov 2005
14 Des 2005
12 Jan 2006
Feb (did not menstruate)
12 Mar 2006
What i like to know must i give my cycles more time to regulate or must i seek help by a gynae or fertility expert, because my cycles is so irregular.I am 27 years old.

Dear Lisa

I would have expected your cycle to regulate within the first two months of stopping the oral contraceptive. I certainly would suggest some investigation be conducted in particular to confirm ovulation and to exclude the early possibility of Polycystic Ovarian disease.
