Miscarriage & Ovulation
I went off the pill in November 2005. My cylces are always around 28 days. However two months ago my cycle was 40 days. Could that be caused by a very early miscarriage? Home ovulation tests are negative. Does it take a while after a miscarriage to ovulate again and become pregnant?

Dear EK

The fact that the home ovulation test is negative (which are usually reasonably accurate), means that you may not have fallen pregnant and the increased lengths of your cycle may not be very early miscarriages. If you have any doubt whether you are pregnant or not the best test would rather be to do a blood Beta HCG level. If one has an early miscarriage then you may ovulate before your next cycle is due.
