PCOS
I heard a few months ago that i have something called polycystic ovarian syndrome.
My doctor told me to use Clomid, Provera and metformin for this problem but nothing helped...
Please advise me on how to go about using this properly in order to fall pregnant....
And yes......i am overweight and a smoker.

Dear Desperate
The management thus far is correct and certainly weight reduction and metabolic control is of significant value in this condition. Also it is important to have the male factor analysed by means of a sperm analysis. If the latter is normal then ovulation induction using alternatives to simple clomid may then become necessary.
