RE: Dry period pains
Dear Doc

Remeber me, I asked you for some advice a while back, about not getting my period 4the past 2 mths and then getting something that felt like a period pain that really made me miserable. You metioned that it could be ovulation pains shortage of one of the hormones, ectopic preg. etc. I went to doc again, did the blood test full blood count, hormone levels and preg test plus thyriod func I think and it all came back normal the test even showed that I do ovulate, according to him the (i;m not sure what hormone) it was at 16 which he says will only happen if i've ovulated. But still no period, what else could this be or must I just really wait everything out. He did however recommend me trying to eat healthy, excersice ext. Please tell me your views on this. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE BT.

Dear BT

Should all the blood tests have been normal, then the problem certainly would lie inside the womb. A condition called ashermans syndrome should be seriously considered and the necessary investigations and treatment options should be instituted as soon as possible. Ashermans syndrome is a situation where the walls of the cavity of the womb have become stuck together due to various reasons such as infection(chronic caraglomitis) or post d&c related trauma or post Myomectomy (removal of fibroids) trauma etc. If you mention asherman syndrome to your gynaecologist he would immediately understand the issue at hand.
