Dear wannbe mon

It is possible to diagnose pregancy by means of a sensitive beta quantitative bllod test 10 days post conception. In a 28 day cycle this would be equivalent to day 26 of a cycle as conception would generally occur round about day 16, provided ovulation had occured on day 14. Implantation on the other hand would occur approximately 4 -5 days post ovulation.
One has to bear in mind that conception occurs at the point of fertilisation and the conceptus(fertilised egg) will spend approximately 3 days in the fallopian tubes whilst deveploing before entering the uterine cavity for implantation to occur.
