ankle weights
Hi, I am 26 and not overweight (female). I want to get rid of the bit of cellulite on my legs and then tone and build them a bit. Will wearing ankle weights (0.7 kg each) during the day while doing usual things and working help or will this be a bad idea? Will it be beneficial? I weigh about 55 kg. Thank you

Wearing ankle weights during the day is probably not a good idea as it will cause undo strain on your body to readjust to this "imbalance" that you will be applying to your body which may lead to lower back or leg injuries.

If you want to tone your legs, perform exercises that will work the different leg muscles 3 times a week. That should include many different activities apart from joining a gym such as cycling, running, hiking, kick boxing etc. Of course, leg weight machines would target these areas better, but these alternative activities will help tone and strengthen as well. It is difficult to remove cellulite, unfortunately, as there may be a genetic component to it's origin.

Alternatively, you can perform leg exercises with your ankle weights (such as leg lifts) which would help your cause more than just placing them on and wearing them during the day.
