hi Gsa

Body for Life is a very good programme. it contains all the correct 'ingredients' to achieve success, which means it has cardiovascular and resistance training, and it does not overlook diet. however, the important thing that I must point out is that it is a generic programme which means that it will work in some cases, others not. You only ever read about the success stories, not the failures. Now, there are reasons for failure, some of the main ones are lack of perseverance, and also a slower success rate than the programme claims. You just need to be aware that you may need more than the usual amount of time to see results - not everyone is the same, so how can we all achieve the same results from exercise? So, I think it is great if you start this, but keep in mind that you are doing what is good exercise, call it body for life, or anything else, and you have to give it time.

Finally, it is also quite an intense programme, and so if after one week you feel run down and unable to cope, then don't be scared to cut back on the intensity and take longer - if you have to rest when the programme says train, that's not a huge deal, as long as you keep going for months, not weeks.

Good luck
