Hi Salmo
The beneficial attributes of the sauna have been appreciated for centuries in a country such as Finland and is still widely used by many today. It certainly allows both physical and mind relaxation. During your session in the sauna, blood circulation speeds up and sweating facilitates toxins leaving the body throughout skin pores, so it is good for the skin.
The only disadvantages would be if you got dehydrated, so don't sit there for too long.
Furthermore, if you have risk factors for heart disease (hi blood pressure/cholesterol or are very overweight), you should avoid the sauna.
I hope this helps.
