Sports Psychology
Can you please tell me where to find a good sports psychologist? Please could you pass on these peoples' details to me, if possible. And why is there no sports psychologist listed on this website?...many thanx.
Hi Andy
I'm not sure where you are, so it's hard to just say where you can find one. Because I'm based in Cape Town myself, I'm partial towards those, only because it's easier to find details.
At the Sports Science Institute, the sports psychologist is Clinton Gahwiler, and here are those contact details:
Contact: Cliton Gahwiler
Phone: 021 659 5655
Fax: 021 659 5633
E-mail: capensis@sports.uct.ac.za
I'm sure that he will be able to direct or refer you on if you are not in the area.
It's also a well made suggestion that sports psychology receive a place in the fitness zone of the site. It's certainly the way that many sports are a going, and much of the research deals with this, so keep your eyes on the forum and in the future, it should start appearing.
Regards
