Targeting exercises for lower body
Dear Fitness doc,
Although I am reasonably fit and active, I seem to have very little muscle tone in my buttocks and its starting to sag! My upper body is very thin compared to the lower body. All excess weight is sitting on my buttocks and thighs. Can you recommend any specific exercises that I can do at home to really firm and tone this area? I also enjoy jogging and tae bo, will that make a difference?

Hi Yolla
Lunges and squats are about the best home based exercises for those areas, I would suggest 3 days a week, doing 3 sets of 20 for the lunges (on each side) and about 3 sets of 20 squats, both legs.
But keep up the jogging and the taebo, because they will certainly make a difference, so don't neglect them!
Good luck
