weight loss from face
I've lost 5,5 kilos in the last 3 months. I now have a BMI of 24 and I feel great. However, since I am pear shaped some of that weight has come off my face. I would still like to shape my lower body but am too afraid to lose any more weight because people are now commenting negatively about my "pointy, long face".

Is there any way I can reverse the fat loss on my face and gain back a "fuller look"? I would have aimed for a higher kilogram loss but now this thin face is really getting me down.

I am totally depressed about this. Please help.

Hi Tazz

Unfortunately, the concept of us being able to lose weight or gain weight in one area of the body only is a myth, and can't really be done. The body loses or gains weight in certain areas sure, but this is dictated largely by genetics. So that is why many people struggle with weight gain in a certain area - yours is the opposite problem and an unusual one, to be sure. My only consolatory words are that over time, as you reach an ideal stable weight, your 'distribution' of fat will start to sort out and you will reach an overall balance - if this means a thinner face than before, then you may have to accept it, unfortunately,

Good luck
