PGD - Pre Implantation Genetic Diagnosis
Does anyone know where this procedure is performed in Durban? My wife and have tried ART using ICSI (she was clinically pregnant) but she miscarried (clinical miscarriage). We were not given a speciific reason as to why the miscarriage took place but were told that maybe my chromosomal make up was abnormal. Can anyone who knows more about this subject and where to go and have this PGD done please let me know.

As far as I could find out, pre-implantation genetic testing is not available in South Africa. In view of the suggestion that you might have a chromosome abnormality, it would be appropriate to check out your own chromosomes on a blood specimen. This could be arranged in Durban through your own doctor.
