30 week check-up
Hi there,

What should I expect for my 30 week check up. The receptionist just told me that thegunae will not be doing a scan. (I have been for my last scan on 26 weeks and everything was fine)
Also, what will the effects on the baby be if I am under a lot of stress at work and do not plan on taking any maternity leave before the baby is due. This way I will be able to spend more time with my baby after the birth.

The 30 week check-up isn't special. It will be no different from any other visit. You will have your blood pressure and urine checked. The doctor will palpate your tummy and listen to the fetal heart.
We know vey little about the effects of stress on a pregnancy, but many women do what you are planning and work till the last minute with no adverse effects.

Best wishes
