8weeks pregnant with Rubella infection
Hi doc
I am 8weeks pregnant and I have a Rubella infection.My doctor explained to me the damage it might cause to the baby.I need this baby and I don't see myself terminating the pregnancy.Are there any chances that the baby can survive without any defects?Pls give more advice.

Not all fetuses exposed to rubella have defects. The chances are about 60%. The abnormalities, if they occur, are severe, as other respondents have said. It is a difficult decision and one that only you can make.
