Best sleeping positions?
I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and battling to sleep the night through. I seem to not get comfortable no matter position I am lying in. I have heard that sleeping on your left side is better. Why is this? No matter how late I seem to stay up as well I can't seem to sleep past the waking hour of 3am. Is there anything that I can do to "train" my body to sleep more now? Soon enough I will have to do morning feeds but until then I would like to try & get as much sleep as possible.
At 12 weeks, you can sleep in any position you like. After 20 weeks, you should avoid sleeping on your back.
Try and go to bed at the same time every night. Avoid stimulating activities and drinks before going to bed.
