bladder infection - advise please
I am now twenty seven weeks preggies with twins and I have this bladder infection that won't go away - (almost two months now) my Gynae gave me some atibiotics- which did not help- and then he put me on Macrodantin 100 mg for thirty days - one a day. Also did not help - he now gave me Zinnat 500mg for 5 days - two a day and Citrosoda three times a day - he also gave me some Buscopan for incase I get cramps or contractions that could bring on premature labour. My one friend advised me to take off my panties at night while sleeping and I was advised to drink lots of Cranberry juice - and someone even suggested that you insert some natural joghurt - how true is this - my Gynae is a male and I did not have the guts to ask him these questions.
Please help!!! otherwise my pregnancy is going very well.

How do you know that the bladder infection is not better? Remember that pressure from the pregnancy can cause some discomfort and does not necessarily indicate infection. Drinking water and cranberry juice are good for bladder infections. The yoghurt helps for thrush, not bladder infection.
