If you do not ovulate does that mean you will not a get a period?
I have irregular periods (between 31-38 days cycle) and was told that it is possible that i am not ovulating. Please explain as I am trying desperatley to have a baby.

In general, if you ovulate regularly, you will have regular periods. It is possible, however, not to ovulate because the hormones required do not reach sufficient levels to trigger ovulation, but can still stimulate the lining of the uterus, giving you a period. Because this is not rhythmically controlled, the periods are then irregular.
