Corenza C & PG
hi there
i am 24 weeks pg and feeling really out of sorts - overheating, fast heart rate and pulse and shaky, tired. Our resident nurse at work took my blood pressure and said it is normal but my pulse rate is rather fast and i might be in the start of catching a cold or flu virus. Usually when i feel a cold coming on i take corenza c and it works a treat if you catch it on time. Is it safe to take corenza during pregnancy?? If i am catching a cold virus what are the possible effects on my unborn baby is it as bad as measles or mumps virus for example which can cause severe defects such as blindness or deafness etc?

Best to avoid the Corenza C. The flu virus does not affect the fetus in the same way as rubella. The important thing is to ensure that your temperature is not raised.

Best wishes
