Cramping and breast tenderness - hormone problem?
We have been trying for a baby for 7 months after coming off the pill. I have realised that some wierd symptons may not be normal. I get the normal mucus associated with ovulation and detect an LH surge around day 12 but around 4 days after ovulation my breasts are tender until my next period and exactly seven days before my due period I get a day or two of cramping just like when I have my period. Could this be a hormonal issue and linked to not conceiving? I am a healthy fit 34 year old who has a good diet. My periods are very regular every 26-29 days. Please advise as my GP won't test until 12 months of trying. These symptoms are worrying me.
Your symptoms are likely to be related to hormonal changes during the cycle, but are really normal and would not be related to not conceiving. It appears that you are ovulating, so just carry on trying.
