I'm 40y old and not on the Pill. We are going on a Greek Islands holiday in July and it looks like my period will be right in the middle of it. I have heard it is possible to withold/delay my period with medication. Can you give me any info on that please - also the risks and possible side effects.

You could take Provera tablets, starting 10 days before your expected period and continuing till you want to have a period. Common side effects are nausea, tender breasts and water retention.
