Due Date...C-section

I'm on 19weeks now and my doc said the baby's due date is 26 July 2004. I decided to go for C-section, I'm a first time mom and I don't think normal birth is the thing for me.....

I heard that if you go for C-seciton, the doc does it about a week before your due date...... is this true?
I will talk to my doc on the next app, but I would like to know, 26 Jul is my hubby's b/day and he is so proud cause of baby thats due on his b/day.
What would the risks be if I do wait till due date? (other that normal birth). If I do go into labour can doc still do a c-section?

Sorry, like I said, firt time mom, and I'm really getting scared of the "birth-thing"

The reason that a caesarean is done a week or two before the due date is so that you do not go into labour before the planned operation. If this were to happen, you could still have a caesarean at that time, but the risks of infection and anaesthetic complications would be increased because it would then be an emergency procedure.
