EMPTY EMBRYONIC SAC
I went for an 8 week scan on Thursday 7/7/05. Doctor said that there was no heartbeat and no foetus in the sac - he said the sac was empty! What does this mean - he had an emergency and did'nt expalin much. he has given me a week to see if I would naturally abort - if not he will do a D and C after another scan. Will I loose my babay again?
In December 2004 I miscarried for the first time at 5 weeks and I did'nt even know I was pregnant!
I was previously diagnosed with Insulin resistance, PCOS, and endometriosis.
Can someone please shed some light on this issue - I'm numb and sad and so lost....help me please... :-(

It means that the fetus has not developed and the pregnancy will not continue. Do a search as IvZ has suggested.
