Exersice prior to pregnancy
Hi doc.

I am "planning" to fall pregnant next year. I want to ensure that I am physically well prepared. It is my first and I will be 32 next year. Is it maybe a good idea to join a gym to strengthen my back and abdomen muscles? Is there a exersice plan/book/video available that one can get to prepare oneself - prior to even falling pregnant?

There is no specific preparation, other than following a healthy diet and taking folate tablets. Exercise would be a good idea. Also avoid smoking and alcohol.
