HCG pregnancy tests
what does HCG stand for, and is it possible to be pregnant and for these HCG tests to show negative, even though it is positive due te the fact that your body diesnt produce enough of these HCG's?
Human chorionic gonadotropin, the hormone produced in pregnancy. The blood test will detect even small traces of HCG, so is very accurate. Home tests only pick up counts above 25, so early pregnancies may not be detected. If you test too early, even the blood test may read negative.
