Heartsore - Losts of questions

On the 23Feb I was 12weeks pregnant, went for my check up and found out the baby was dead at 10weeks. How do you get through the heartache of loosing your child you've been waiting for for so long. We've tried for 3years to fall pregnant again, and then to get this news. I had to go for an emergency D & C but the Doc. didn't remove all of the baby and I picked up a very bad infection, rushed to the Hospital had to get another D & C. Now my questions are as follows:

1. Will i fall pregnant quicker now that I have had a D & C?
2. How soon can we start trying again?
3. Will everything be ok this time, how do you get through all the worry etc?
4. What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

I would appreciate any replies. I never thought this could happen to me, seeing that I've got a happy 4year old. I never thought the I'll feel so much pain in loosing a baby. For all the People that has gone through this I know now how it feels. I don't want to go though something like this again.

Thanks for reading this, I just had to share this with someone and what better way then with all of u's that knows how it feels and where I'm coming from.

Thanx Again!!!!!

You will not fall pregnant quicker after a D&C. It is suggested that you wait 3-6 months after a miscarriage to improve the chances of a successful pregnancy the next time round. I can't say whether everything will be okay next time, but the chances of a successful pregnancy after one miscarriage are more tha 80%. You can't prevent a missed miscarrriage but it is always a good idea to take folate tablets while planning a pregnancy.
