heavy/painfull periods with severe symtoms i've not experienced before.
i'm 21 and had quite a terrable experience a day ago, i started my period the other day and was experiencing the usual cramps etc so i took some ibuprophen to ease the pain as it has in the past, 45 minutes later the pain was getting worse and the painkillers hadn't kicked in, the middle of my back was starting to become painfull as well as the bottom of my back and the contractions in my abdomine started to get really severe(i wanted to run away from my body!), then i started to get hot/cold sweats and my skin felt like it was burning, i also had the same sensation around my vaginal area, i started to feel really tired and faint and my cramps were very severe to the point where i couldn't speak and i kept going in and out of a sleep like state, this lasted for 45 minutes as far as i know, my hot flushes calmed down faster and the burning sensation only lasted for 10/15 mins, but i was really woried about the uteral contractions and how heavy my flow is. An anccident like this happened a year ago where the pain was so severe the whole lower half of my body was violently shaking, and my period was 2 weeks early, i consulted my doctor and she said there was nothing to worry about and that was quite normal, but i feel there may be something else i need to address in this situation and i was hoping you could give me a bit of advice on this matter and tell me if you've heard of any other cases of this type of period pain. Thankyou for your time .

Period pains can be very severe and if you are passing clots this can give a sensation of dizziness and heat. If this has all now passed, then it is probably not a serious problem like an infection. If your periods are very heavy, taking the PIll may help. If you are sexually active, you should have regular gynae check-ups.
