High Blood Pressure during pregnancy
What is the difference between high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia?
With my first pregnancy I had high blood pressure from about 7 weeks
I am now 10 weeks pregnant and have the same problem (take 3 hypo-tone tablets a day)
I' m just not sure what the difference between high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia is?

Pre-eclampsia is a condition specific to pregnancy and is potentially dangerous to the mother and baby. Hypertension is only one of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia. Chronic hypertension, which sounds like what you have, does not have the same risks.
