How long
How long after intercourse would you notice if you have a UTI? would it usually be one day or two days or a matter of hours?
My reason for asking - I have had a UTI 3 times in the past 6 months and have taken all precautionary measures. My husband and I had intercourse for the first time on Sunday since my last UTI. I am worried that the UTI begins there - I REALLY don't want another one! If I do get it, GP says to see a urologist.
What could be the cause of recurring UIT? I am hypoglycemic and heard that this might be a reason?

Symptoms usually start within 24 hours. The reason your Gp has suggested referral to a urologist is that underlying kidney problems are a cause of recurrent UTIs. Hypoglycemia should not cause a UTI.
