Human Papilloma Virus
I went for a PAP smear and got the results back. I now have to go for a cervical biopsy as they picked up on CIN II, fesatures suggestive of HPV and AGUS. Superficial and intermediate squamos cells are present. I would just like to know, with regards to the HPV - should my partner also be tested? I have no warts or anything like that and was quite shocked to hear this. We have been in a long term reltaionship and we are both faithfull to oneanother. Is there any form of treatment or preventing it from getting worse? I dont know what to expect and at the moment i have been leaving messages for my Doc to phone me but to no avail. Please can you help with my question and try and explain these results to me.

I hope that Miss T's explanation has helped. It may also be useful to look at this website: http://www.cdc.gov/std/HPV/STDFact-HPV.htm

Best wishes
