I want to sterilize

I am 25, I had my second child 6 months ago and do not want to have any more kids. I have asked my doctor about getting steilised and he says it is allowed when I am over 30.

I feel that I am matured enough to make a decision not to have kids anymore because as it is, my life is full. I have a stressful job, 2 beautiful but demanding kids, I am tired of taking pills or any kind of contaceptive and I know that i dont ever want to be pregnant ever again.

Is it possible to get sterilised at my age. I have talked about it with my husband and he feels that he will respect whichever decision I make because he also doesnt want more kids.

What do I do?

The Medical Council actually advises that sterilisations not be done before 30 years. Vinkie has given you a very good example of why this is.

Best wishes
