irregular pap
I had an irregular pap smear about two years ago. The doctor said the irregularity was caused by HPV. I underwent a colposcopy. Since then, my last five paps(at six month intervals) have been regular. When I asked my doctor what I should tell my future partners about the irregular pap/HPV, he said not to worry about it. Some articles I've read have said I am not contagious and others say it's contagious all the time. I'm not sure what to do.

A normal pap does not mean that there is no HPV. The virus sometimes regresses and sometime stays. If you still have the virus, you could transmit it to a partner. It usually causes fewer problems in men than in women.
