IUI
Hi there
I am TTC and I am on my second IUI this month. I was hoping that there were other ladies that had also gone through or are going through this that can help me with the following. I am trying to determine how many times on average IUI's need to be performed before success. I know it is a dificult one, but I am just looking for reassurance? There is approx 30% chance of concieving at each IUI. So does that mean that the average should be around three times. Also, what are the chances of having multiples eggs being fertilised. The first IUI I did was painful and I could hardly waslk afterward, but the one I did this month was OK.
Sorry for going on and on, I am just so relieved that I can share this.

The figure of 30% applies to each cycle independently, so it does not mean that you will succeed after the third cycle. Unless you have had ovulation induction, there would not be an increased risk of multiple pregnancy.
