just wanted to know
Hello Doc
It looks like you are very busy and not much time on your hands, but whenever you have the time I just would like to know if I have a overactive thyriod gland and a bit overweight and not using any contraceptives medication for the last 4 months what are my the change of falling pregnant? Do I have to be very worried, I stopped the medication to get my cycle regular again, which it is now.

Thanks amanda

If your thyroid function is normal, this should not interfere with pregnancy. Most women do not fall pregnant in the first 3 months after stopping the Pill. If everthing else is normal, your chances of falling pregnant are the same as if had never been on the Pill. Unless you know whether you are ovulating, it is difficult to be sure what your chances of pregnancy are.

Best wishes
