She is 25 weeks and has began losing amnotic fluid,
This questions how much of fluid is nessacary for foetus development. can the fluid be replaced?

The fluid is constantly made and reabsorbed by the body. There can be problems with lung development if there is little fluid before 26 weeks. As your wife is quite close to 26 weeks, the chances of this being a problem is not very high.
