Marina
I am interested in having the marina coil put in. I just have a few questiions:
Is it 100 % effective against pregnancy?
Would it stay in place or is it possible it could come out?
I read there are strings that hang out - how long are these? are they made of copper? would my partner be able to feel them? would they tear a condom?
how can i be sure the marina is always in place if you only go once a year?

No contraceptive is 100% effective but the Mirena is more than 99% safe.
There is a small possibility that it can 'fall' out, but this is not common.
The strings are cut quite short. Your partner should not be able to feel them and you would feel then if you inserted a finger high up into the vagina. They would not tear a condom.
