How does the doctor measure the baby from head to toe and know what the approximate weight of the baby will be? I asked my GP to do it for me, and he looked at me funny.......... I am dying to find out not only if i am having a boy or girl but to know more or less how big baby is.........

How does the doctor measure the baby from head to toe and know what the approximate weight of the baby will be?

Before 12 weeks, the baby is measured from head to bottom. After that the head,leg and abdominal measurements are taken.
