Meningitis and pregnancy
A colleague has been diagnosed with Viral meningitis this morning. We know that it is contagious.
What are the implications for a pregnant person? I am about 12 weeks pregnant and generally have problem pregnancies, the last two were classed missed abortions. Should I be worried??????
Please help.

Viral meningitis is not very contagious. If you did contract it, which is unlikely, it would not affect the pregnancy other than that it would be important to keep the fever down.
