Mirena - more information
Hi,

Please tell me, does Mirena contain the same hormones as the injection contraception. I would like to have Mirena inserted but am presently on the injection, which makes my vagina very dry. What are the other "insertable" contraceptions which could avoiding this?

Thanks

Yes, Mirena contains progesterone, like the injectable. You could have a copper IUCD which contains no hormone.

Best wishes
