Painful engoregement
Hi there
My problem started with a tiny pimple just on the edge of my nipple. I didn't want my baby sucking in the pus so I squeezed very gently, however it became infected. I have been to my local clinic and black gooey stuff was put on to draw it out and she gave me an antibiotic but she advised not to feed from that breast. I tried expressing the excess milk but the pump wouldn't suck properly and only got a tiny bit out. Now my breasts are heavy and very sore. There are one or 2 hard lumps and the milk ducts are sticking out. I've been back and she said cabbage leaves and hot and cold compresses will help. I've tried feeding my baby on it and she refuses and the pump gets such a little out. What else can I do or take to help? Thanks

The cabbage leaves usually work very well. You could also try manual expressing.
