PCOS & Weight gain
Hi I was diagnosed with PCOS in November and also with high insulin resistance but good glucose consumption. Apparently this is as a result from the PCOS. I have gained about 15kgs in the last year and it has seriously impacted on my self esteem and also I cannot seem to get motivated to exercise because of the weight gain.
How can one lose the weight, get the insulin resistance under control and also my doctor wants to burn off the polyps on my ovaries but I read that this is no guarantee that the PCOS will not return.
My biggest concern is the weight gain (it is uncomfortable and unhealthy) and also not developing diabetes.
Thank you.

You need to follow a low GI diet and Glucophage might be helpful.
