Placenta Previa
My friend is 14 weeks pregnant and started bleeding this morning. the doctor has diagnosed her with placent previa. Please can someone shed some light onto how serious this is. I have got some info off the net but find it is very opposing. Some sites say its not too serious others are talking about death. She had a miscarriage in March and had a DNC and fell pregnant again pretty much right away. I want to give her some good news.

Many placentas are low lying at 14 weeks. The bleeding indicates a threatened miscarriage and, unfortunately, only time will tell what will happen to the pregnancy.
