Placental lakes
I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first child. At my 20 week scan i was told that i have placental lakes on my placenta and have to go back for a scan at 28 weeks. My midwife have very little information about this occurance. My question is what is the long term effects of this on my daughter (if any) and may it effect my choice on how i'm going to give birth?

Placental lakes are areas in the placenta where there is pooling of blood . They are not thought to be of any significance to the pregnancy and should have no effect on how you deliver.
