Please help, clomid question

It's my first time that I used clomid for this month and I was prescribed 5 tablets from my gynae. I took the last one yesterday. I've read that a most women have a check up on day 13/14?, my gynae never told me to come in. He told me that I will be fertile between days 14 - 18. Is this normal?, or it is necesary that I go for a scan?
