pregnant again after miscarriage
Hi Doc
I'm now 4 weeks 2 days preggies, had a miscarriage in Sept at 6 weeks and have had a 45 day cycle since so am feeling quite nervous that it might happen again. My appointment with my gynae is only on the 18th Feb. Do you think I should see him before then to be safe. I've had some sharp pains in my upper abdomen and every now and then it feels like some stretching in my stomach and mild lower backache. Is this normal, I feel absolutely fine otherwise, just a bit more tired and am going to the toilet alot. I've not had my pregnancy confirmed by a Gp either, just done 2 urine tests, one about 3 days before my period was due which was positive and one Saturday, which was the day my period should have started and was also positive, do I need a GP to confirm also?

The pains you describe sound normal. I don't think that there is any need to see a GP. Your gynaecologist can confirm the pregnancy when you see him/her in two weeks time.
