Prescibed Siphene(Clomid)
Ladies & Doctor please help.I visited Gynea after 1 yr of trying to conceive.she did all my blood tests ie HIV,Tyhroid etc which were fine.She also did my abdomen & vaginal scan which was also fine. Now she has given me Siphene for 2 cycles.But she has no done any test to detect ovulation problem.Is it Ok.Can without detecting ovulation problem is it safe to give clomid.I am waiting for more opinions on this medicine.Is it the first step doctors do befor doing any tests & X-Rays.

You should be tested for ovulation before starting Clomid. There is a danger of overstimulation of the ovaries with this drug.
