Question
My hubby and i have TTC for +-6 months and as yet nothing...
i think the problem is that my periods are quite irregular, i do usually get a period once a month but there doesn't seem to be a set cycle per say. We have already had 1 baby (unfortunately no longer with us) but she was unplanned. Now that we are trying we can't seem to get it right. How do i work out when i am ovulating when my cycle is so irregular? Does the fact that we have already had a baby mean that there is no problem with either of us or could a problem have developed since then? We are both reasonably young (i am 24 and he is 30). should we consult a doc or try a little longer?

If your periods are completely irregular, it probably means that you are not ovulating. If they are within 2-3 days of each other that is not a problem and you should carry on trying. The fact that you had a child does not mean that something may have developed since then.

Best wishes
