I have a slight problem, i have been brought up in a very conservative family and have never really spoken seriously / been taught about gynae's and what they do etc. I am now going on 25 and have never been to see one. I know my visit with a gynae should be yearly from when you become sexually active, and i am now engaged, but i am so shy and scared that i keep putting off going - i am so scared! maybe you could fill me in on what a pap smear is and what happens when you go for a check up etc.
