SLIGHT CONTRACTIONS
NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT IS BRAXTON HICKS CONTRACTIONS.

I AM CURRENTLY JUST ON 7 MNTHS PREGNANT AND DR SAYS THAT I STARTED HAVING THESE CONTRACTIONS AND FELT THAT MY TUMMY WAS A BIT HARD. SHE DID A CERVICAL CHECK UP, BUT SAYS TAHT ALL WAS NORMAL , HOWEVER WANTS TO SEE ME IN 2 WEEKS TIME TO DOUBLE CHECK.

DOES THIS MEAN THAT I CAN GO INTO PREMATURE LABOUR, ABND WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES THEREOF ??

I DO HAVE A HISTORY IN MY FAMILY - I WAS BORN AT 7 MNTHS AND MY SISTERS BABY WAS BORN A MONTH EARLY ???

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE - I AM STILL AT WORK UNTIL JANUARY ???

Braxton-Hicks contractions can start from about 32 weeks. This does not eman that you will go into preterm labour, though your family history would increase your risk. If you are 32 weeks pregnant, the baby would have a good chance if born at this stage, though it would most likely have to be in the nursery for a while.
