Smoking and pregnancy

I've been smoking for 8 years, my wife is off the pill for about three months, and still no luck falling pregnant. Could this be because of the smoking, and if I quit would I be able to become vertile again, or maybe we're just missing that perfect three days or can anyone help,.....!?

It can take up to a year to conceive, but you are right that smoking does affect sperm quality. Have a look at the Top 5 questions on timing of ovulation.
